Our Story – Jojo by Kuldip Singh Uppal
I’m Kuldip Singh Uppal, and my journey began in Hong Kong over three decades ago. Inspired by my father, Tarsem Singh Uppal, who once served in the British colony’s police force, I found my calling in 1985 when he opened Jojo Mess—a humble venture that quickly became a local favourite for authentic Indian cuisine.

From the very beginning, Jojo stood out for its traditional flavours, rich spices, and heartfelt hospitality. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege to carry forward my father’s vision, shaping Jojo into what it is today—an enduring name in Hong Kong’s Indian dining scene.

Known for its flavourful dishes, warm service, and authentic experience, Jojo continues to celebrate the legacy we started in 1985.
